Extraction questions
Will it hurt?
The area is numbed, so you feel pressure but not pain. Afterwards, simple painkillers are usually enough.
Do wisdom teeth always need to come out?
No. Only when they cause pain, infection or damage to the tooth next to them, or are likely to.
Should I replace the tooth?
Usually yes, unless it is a wisdom tooth. See our page on implants, crowns and dentures.
